Summary :

The project is carried by two partner laboratories ICCF (V. PREVOT and P. BESSE Hoggan) and LMGE (I. Batisson) whose research activities are complementary (microbiology, materials chemistry, analytical chemistry).

The aim is to develop a bioremediation system based on bacterial biofilm and /or fungi confined within bionanocomposites based on Double Lamellar hydroxides and to evaluate the performance of the system for the degradation of cocktails of pesticide in solution. Four steps are necessary for its implementation:

- The development of bionanocomposites with controlled porosity favorable for the growth of biofilms.
- The study of the behavior of fungi consortia and of bacteria on pesticide cocktails.
- The Monitoring of the growth of biofilms within bionanocomposites and the study of microorganisms /support interfaces.
- The Assessment of bioremediation properties of systems developed on cocktails of pesticides.

These aspects will mainly be studied by Lucian Staicu postdoc researcher recruited for a period of 24 months.
